Web 2.0 is defined as the information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design which is facilitated by web application on the world wide web.
Examples of Web 2.0 include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites and blogs.
Q13: Discuss the major characteristics of Web 2.0. What are some of its major advantages?
Users own the data on the site and exercises control over that data. A major emphasis on social networks. Networks as platforms, delivering and allowing users to use applications entirely through a browser. The presence of light-weight programming techniques and tools that allow nearly anyone act as a developer. New business models are created as a result.
Some of the advantages of Web 2.0: Blogs can be created easily and freely, allowing people to express their views and share information quickly. Another advantage is the emergency of social networking sites such as facebook and friendsters
